Editorial Reviews

In an era when teen sexuality, excess, and alienation have all become hot-button issues, screenwriter/director Beth Schacter follows high-school teen Wendy (Amber Tamblyn) and her friends as they eschew the party scene and random hookups that define their generation to experiment with a more fluid form of sexual satisfaction. As this self-contained clique of swinging teens is ostracized from the reigning jocks and cheerleaders, however, a new-kid-in-town outsider falls into their orbit -- at once intrigued and repelled by their behavior. August 06, 2008: I really didn't like Havoc but I liked this one (my friends made me watch it.) It had some really intense scenes and it was relatable. These girls are going through something real and you can tell some people are just gonna hate the movie because they don't want it to be real.

July 11, 2008: I wouldn't recommend this film if my life depended on it. Defending themselves against other cliques and cloistering themselves against the jocks and cheerleaders--what a trite tale! It has so many cliches of 1980's brat pack films, it is ridiculous, and is really a pawn off of those great films. There is no originality at all. I am done.
