Editorial Reviews

A hard-drinking lush finds himself thrust into superhero mode in director Peter Berg's unconventional look at the private life of a crime-fighter. Will Smith stars as the embittered do-gooder whose lifestyle is more akin to a rock star than a role model, and who has grown as disillusioned with his once-admiring public as they have of him. February 23, 2009: Overall a pretty fun movie. The only downside is that the plot makes a detour about half way through. The first time watching the movie it was kind of hard to follow along. Watching it again it wasn't a big deal and was great to watch. It's a different kind of super hero movie without being based on a comic book, which I liked.

December 30, 2008: I went to Hancock with my family & cousins. It was an amazing movie to watch. It caught my attention the whole way through the movie. Hancock is about a superhero (John Hancock) and he is drunken a lot, and out of shape. When he fights crime he doesn't do it the way he should. He saved this guy. That guy wanted to help Hancock become the hero he should be. Hancock goes through a lot, then their is a twist, and a nail-bitting ending!
Unfortanly, Iron Man and Tons of other superhero movies also came out. Which made Hancock not have the best of reviews. Now to me I think its almost better than Iron Man. This isn't any SuperHero Black. Its not SuperHero at all!
I would suggest Hancock to people who like Science Fiction/Catches your attention. These are two good combinations that make a great movie. If you like Iron Man you will love this movie, but even better. Hancock would make a great gift for anyone.
The Setting is today just like in any City. Not in the 1950's or 1960's. Will Smith acted amazing in this movie. I fell in love with his acting and this movie.
Hancock deserves five stars. Hancock has it!
