Editorial Reviews

A novice witch has to help out her grandmother and save the world (boy, the chores never end, do they?) in this 16-year-old made-for-cable fantasy. Witch Marnie (Kimberly J. Brown) discovers that even though she and her grandmother Aggie (Debbie Reynolds) foiled the plans of the evil warlock Kalabar three years ago, his son Kal has taken up the family tradition of evildoing. Kal has stolen Aggie's magic books and is planning top use her collection of secret spells to destroy the borders between the real world and the spooky alternate universe of Halloweentown -- which would not only bring chaos to the world, but put both Aggie and Marnie out of the witch business for good. Can Marnie use her fast-growing powers to stop Kal before it's too late? Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge was produced for The Disney Channel, where it was first aired on October 12, 2001 -- just in time for Halloween. Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

October 13, 2005: This movie was really good. It is the best halloween movie ever. This family of witchs battles to save the world from Kalabar and Kal(in the second movie). Marnie never loses her battles against evil. These were awesome. A must have

September 13, 2005: These two movies (there is a part 3 as well) are two of my favorite Halloween Holiday films of all time. The way the characters all care for each other, want what's best for each other and stand up for each other to the costumes, sets, storylines and adventures these movies are great Halloween FUN for the entire family. I'm a long time fan of anything Halloween, especially the way stories are told to the children and the "child in all of us" within books and movies. These are simple, loving and full of "Fun-Funny-Frights" to enjoy over and over again. They stand up well next to the classics of Children Halloween viewing. Safe, Fun and great lessons in love "no matter what you look like, who you are, where you live and how you are!" Friends and Family come in all shapes, sizes and creeds...all to be celebrated! Go now and visit, Halloweentown...you'll love it!! (I must admit that I actually think it would be great to live there myself!) Have Fun!!
