    Produced by legendary Warner Bros. animator Friz Freling, the Emmy Award-winning "The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat" pairs two of Dr. Seuss's best- known characters. On a "sunny, buzzy, beezle-berry day," even the Grinch is whistling until he is reminded of the Grinch oath ("A Grinch is unhelpful, unfriendly, unkind..."). He "bamboozles" the friendly Cat in the Hat, who becomes determined to find the Grinch's "soft spot." Tongue-tripping wordplay and delightful original songs (by Sesame Street's Joe Raposo) compensate for the pedestrian animation. This disc also contains the wondrous Seuss story in which babies are oriented to the good and bad life before they are dispatched to Earth along "The Hoober-Bloob Highway" to be born.     May 24, 2005: My Aunt just bought "The Cat In The Hat Gets Grinched" (ORIGINAL title, vhs) for my little sister, and she loves it! It's ok, but it could've been better if they had someone else sing for the Cat in the hat, because his voice sounded kind of off-key and creepy when he sang that "Soften Your Heart"(?) song to the Grinch. That song scared me as a little kid. And something else cofused me. The grinch called the Grinch in the mirror "Mr. Grinch." Does that mean the Grinch's full name is "Grinch Grinch?" LOL! Same as the "Mario Brothers." Mario Mario and Luigi Mario! LOL! And Grinch's "Mama" looked more like Oscar The Grouch instead of the Grinch! Those were the stuff that annoyed and confused me, and it would've been better if they had more effort to the movie!
