    Editorial Reviews

Not exactly meant for intellectuals or feminists, this juvenile comedy-drama centers around the competition between a decaying, old-fashioned gas station and that of a sleek, modern version across the street. Neither Uncle Joe (Huntz Hall) nor his station are doing well. So niece June (Kirsten Baker) comes to the rescue, enlisting three buxom friends with names like April (Sandy Johnson) and January (Rikki Marin) who help fill out the rest of the calendar year, and occasionally fill up tanks when not disco dancing in the garage. Using the only weapons they have, the young women wear as little as possible to distract the competition, to attract customers, to distract the gangsters sent over to teach them a lesson, and to distract attention away from the script. Video transfer looks to be a copy of a copy of a copyby HunterWI

October 24, 2009: I owned this video years ago and looked forward to seeing Huntz Hall on DVD. The movie is pure escapism. I was extremely dissappointed at the horrible amatuerish video transfer. It appears to be a third or fourth generation transfer of someone's old video copy. It is difficult to make out any detail and is often so dark that that only black appears on the screen as background. I would not recommend anyone purchase this version. I feel like I was robbed. It is very interesting that when I tried to use the ratings scale to give this one star for visual. The site would not accept it. Only two stars would register. I couldn't accept that so I passed on the rating as this site would not allow me to enter my rating choice.
