Matt Groening's cult hit series Futurama takes its killer wit to DVD with this full length movie consisting of a brand new story with all new animation and the complete, original voice cast. December 01, 2007: Beheadings, evil alien nudists, internet scammers, time travel, narwhals, colossal space battles and more aliens and robots than you can shake a stick at. Top it off with top notch animation, voice acting, and guest appearances by such luminaries as Mark Hamil and Coolio, and you've got the first Futurama movie. It's probably more for fans, but since the fans are the ones that resurrected this show from its (cruel, unjust, unwarranted) cancellation, it's only fair. It has everything we've come to know and love from Futurama, only more of it. And the special features, they're a treat. Groening and friends continue the tradition of absolutely hilarious commentaries that manage to be informative too. Heck, there's even a full episode of the in-show show, "Everybody Loves Hypnotoad!" Pick this disc up. Pick up all four sets of Futurama. Pick up the next three movies they have coming out. Tell the studios and networks that THIS is the kind of brilliance we want to see on TV.
