Editorial Reviews

The words "Enough of this warmth junk" are actually uttered in the pilot episode of Full House, one of the signature series of ABC's "Thank God It’s Friday" block of family-friendly shows. But resistance is futile. If the "aww" moments, group hugs, and "we need to stick together" heart-to-hearts don't get you, then the scene-stealing Olsen twins, sharing the role of Baby Michelle, will. And then there's the surefire comedy of three clueless men trying to navigate parenthood, dirty diapers, chickenpox, sibling rivalry, and kindergarten. Bob Saget stars as recently widowed Danny Tanner, who recruits his brother-in-law and a friend -- respectively, struggling musician Jesse (mullet-maned John Stamos) and aspiring comedian Joey (Dave Coulier) -- to move in and help raise his daughters. The girls include ten-year-old DJ (Candance Cameron), five-year-old Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and the infant Michelle. Future "tyke-oons" Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen eventually became the series’ breakout stars; at one point their TV "Q" factor would be second only to Bill Cosby's. But in this inaugural season, Sweetin is the go-to girl for adorable antics and precocious punch lines ("Nobody asked me"). Donald Liebenson, Barnes & Noble

March 24, 2007: Oh my gosh! I love this show. I have loved it ever since I was younger. I like how it introduces DJ, Stephanie, Michelle(when they are young. Also the show introduces the girls widowed father dannny, Danny's best friend-Joey, and the girls uncle Jesse who is a musician. I watch this show all the time, from the first episode to the last. If you are a fan of full house, than this is for you. Five stars for a wonderful show.
