Editorial Reviews

When two distant cousins (John D. LeMay, Louise Robey) inherit the strange Curious Goods antiques shop, they soon discover that their deceased uncle paid the ultimate price for the hexed items in the store: his soul was claimed by Satan. Now, it's up to them and an eccentric antiques dealer (Chris Wiggins) to find each diabolical item sold from the store before it manifests its evil powers. Open the door to true terror with the 26 episodes of Season 1 (1987-8) that's crawling with psychological suspense and spine-tingling mysteries you won't want to miss! From the Studio

February 23, 2009: This T.V. show was originally supposed to be title "The 13th Hour." However, at the last minute, the creators decided to change the name due to the popular horror films in full swing and in their prime. "Freddy's Nightmares", a TV show based on the movies of the same name, was announced to be in post production around the scheduled release of "The 13th Hour." Creator Frank Mancuso requested that the series name be changed to bare the name "Friday the 13th The Series" in order to boost the projected ratings of its pilot episode "The Inheritence." What began as a forseeably failing horror series ran for more seasons than orginally projected, making it one of the most popular horror series in history. Among other popular horror series; Tales from the Crypt, Tales from the Darkside; and Dark Shadows, the first horror series which ran from 1966-1971.
