Bette Midler's wildly funny and theatrical stage show is preserved on the big screen in this concert film shot in California in 1980. Along with her usual raunchy comedy material and over-the-top staging, Midler performs some of her best known songs (including "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "Chapel of Love") along with Bruce Springsteen's "E Street Shuffle," {Tom Waits' "Shiver Me Timbers," and the Faces' "Stay With Me." August 01, 2009: The Divine Miss M...what else is there to say? She is incomparable. She is in a class with Robin Williams, Sam Kinison, Whoopi Goldberg & so many more. But, who would they all be without Bruce Vilanch. If you want to know the greats better, get to know the man who made them great. A must own dvd Get Bruce!

    I Also Recommend: Get Bruce!.

December 05, 2006: This is a "must have" live show, however, the first review mentions Tom Wait's "Shiver Me Timbers", that song, and another Tom Waits song from the original theatrical release, "Rainbow Sleeve" are not included in this home movie. Why, I have no idea. The movie is still full of great music, comedy and just flat out entertainment like only Bette Midler can provide!
