Editorial Reviews

Dave Matthews has masterminded his way to the top of the jam band mountain. With his meandering compositions and happy-go-lucky lyrics, Matthews and his back-up band have kids dancing in the aisles of his sold-out performances. Much like his predecessor Jerry Garcia, Matthews stirs awe in his followers. It may be his dimples more than his guitar playing that captivates audiences, or possibly his quirky dancing and jigging that hypnotize; whatever it is, he takes the crowd for a ride. Now, everyone who couldn't score tickets to the last show can bring Dave home and pop him in the VCR or DVD player and rock out in the comforts of home. Finally, everyone can experience the "live" Dave Matthews. With such favorites as "Rhyme & Reason," "Too Much," "Two Step," "Don't Drink the Water," and a rousing rendition of the Bob Dylan song "All Along the Watchtower," Matthews rocks the crowd gathered in Continental Airlines Arena in Rutherford, New Jersey. This live set has also been released as a two CD package under the same title. ~ Ed Atkinson, All Movie Guide All Movie Guide

September 19, 2002: I had previously purchased LS on cd a few years back. Thinnking that I had 'experienced' the concert, i was reluctant to purchase this DVD. When my good friend (also bandleader, DMB fanatic, etc.) moved away, I reached for this DVD. Wow. I must have watch this 10 times straight trough in the first week. If you have ever played guitar, you'll strive to play at least a few songs from this set. Nevermind 'special features' or any other worthless filler; the energy at this concert flows right into you: you become the concert! If you haven't already purchased this, i'm sorry. You're really missing out. *note: you know that one song, you know, that one you just cant figure out how to play. Yeah, the one where all the internet tabs are different. Buy the DVD. seeing->learning->playing. Great tutor for some ever more great songs. DMB Fans: E-Mail Me!
