Editorial Reviews

In this romantic comedy fantasy, an angel (Emmanuelle Beart) with a heavenly body falls into the swimming pool of Jim Sanders (Michael E. Knight). Hung over from his bachelor party, his encounter with the angel has Jim questioning his upcoming marriage to Patty (Phoebe Cates), the daughter of a wealthy cosmetics mogul (David Dukes). After he helps the injured celestial being, Jim must protect her from his lecherous friends and his curious fiance. Beart's beauty and performance is the highlight of the film even though she does not speak. Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide

January 27, 2006: A film gem of the eighties. Highly recommended. It is a beautiful love story much like the movie "Splash", which was released a few years prior to this one. It is one of my favorite all time films directed by Tom McLauglin (One Dark Night 1983). Watch it and enjoy!

July 08, 2003: Emmanuelle Beart, ( the Angel ), is on her way to earth from heaven to pick up Jim Sanders, ( Michael Knight ), a young man having his bachelor party, he does not realize it but his frequent headaches are a brain tumor and he is laying drunk and passed out with his buddies in his livingroom dying, as the Angel desends from the heavens she has a collision with a satelite and crashes into Jims' swimming pool, Jim awakes and finds her and he is smitten by her beauty, thruout the movie Jim fends off his now ex-fiancee, her father and family and his friends, not realising until three quarters of the way thru the movie that he is in love with his angel and not his estranged girlfriend played by Cates. It has a happy ending and Beart steals the whole movie without saying hardly a word. A good holsom comedy the whole family will enjoy!
