Editorial Reviews

This well-wrought made-for-cable television western is faithfully adapted from a Louis L'Amour novel and centers on the budding relationship between brave but lonely widow (Katharine Ross) who runs a remote stagecoach way station and the handsome cowpoke (Sam Elliot) who comes to help her out. April 26, 2005: No one, in the more recent era of the Western genre has done more for westerns then Sam Elliott. Only Tom Selleck comes close. I have all of the Sam Elliott movies on VHS. I won't miss getting a single DVD. Now....If only they were releasing The Sacketts and Rough Riders on DVD too! I am wearing my tapes out!
