Let’s put our cards on the table: Charlie's Angels was a cop show in the same way that Baywatch was a rescue show. Yes, the Angels chased bad guys. Yes, they solved crimes. And yes, young women even looked up to the Angels as role models. But Jill (Farrah Fawcett), Kelly (Jaclyn Smith), and Sabrina (Kate Jackson) also happened to be staggeringly sexy. And, for officers of the law, they had wardrobes that were suspiciously similar to those on display at Saks. Let it not be said that the Angels failed to entertain. There was lovable, shlubby Bosley (David Boyle). There was the elusive Charlie (voiced by John Forsythe), head of Charles Townsend Investigations and the show's omnipotent, unseen Oz. And, in truth, alongside such hard-edged shows as S.W.A.T. and The Professionals, Charlie's Angels was relatively wholesome entertainment. So perhaps we've been a bit harsh. There are plenty of reasons to splurge on this long-overdue five-disc collection of the show's first 22 episodes. And if satin hot pants and low-cut blouses happen to be among them, well, we'll never tell. Barnes & Noble

August 22, 2009: This collection was bought for my eight year old daughter. She and the rest of the family has enjoyed the show. She wanted to see Farrah Fawcett, since she passed away. She wanted to learn about her and when she found out Farrah was in Charlie's Angels she wanted the collection.

June 11, 2003: I remember watching Charlie's Angels when I was a kid. It came on once a week. When I found out that the first season was on DVD I had to get it. I am not dissapointed. It brings back lots of memories. It is a great addition to my DVD collection. I can't wait till season two is available.
