    Editorial Reviews

Recorded approximately a year and a half before Cat Stevens left the music industry to pursue a new direction, the footage included in this production hails from a concert filmed in Williamsburg, VA, during Stevens' mid-'70s Majikat tour. Among the 21 tracks included are "The Doves," "The Wind," "Moonshadow," "The Hurt," "Two Fine People," "Father and Son," "Ruins," and "The Peace Train," as well as a 35-minute interview with Stevens (who now goes by the name Yusef Islam), Stevens' discography, and song lyrics. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide All Movie Guide

June 30, 2004: For so many years there has been very few videos of a Cat Stevens' concert available for the general public to buy. The time has finally come and we have not been disappointed. Many of the songs we grew up listening to are performed on the DVD with outstanding sound and clarity. The visual aspect of the DVD is excellent considering that the concert was captured on film in the mid 70's. The interview with him offers a side of him that few have seen before. It was interesting seeing how he evolved through the music business to where he is today. He was truly one of the greatest artists during his time and is sorely missed. Anyone who loves Cat Stevens' music will definitely want this in their DVD collection.

June 22, 2004: This is an amazing restoration/reconstruction of a entire concert from '76. The sound is absolutely amazing - both the 5.1 and DTS mix fill the room. I would love to know the techincal specs behind this disc since it was apparently recorded on film and certainly 8-16 track master and then remixed for todays surround standards. If you were even a casual Cat Stevens fan you will not be dissappointed in this show. The interview wiht him now is very informative as well and presents a man who searched for his soul and apparently found it. A very intelligent man as well as an incredible performer.
