    Editorial Reviews

In this exciting romp within the world of America's teen-pop queen, viewers receive a virtual backstage tour from Britney herself. Narrating four segments ("Growing Up," "My First Album," "Making Music Videos," and "On the Road"), Britney comes across as a good-natured girl-next-door for whom hard work, ambition, and talent has paid off, and then some. Curled up in a big chair, Britney describes her childhood (from church choir to the Mickey Mouse Club) and early teen years ("I wasn't a dork or a cheerleader, I just did my own thing"), marveling all along at her current multiplatinum success. Although the songstress touches on the meanings behind her songs, she admits that her primary motivation is to just have fun. With excerpts from her Disney Channel special, a trivia game and a scrapbook-ish slide show, Time Out is a jam-packed video treat: a veritable Britney-palooza that catches a star on the rise -- and shining. July 07, 2002: I find this girl totally revolting. She tries to act twice her age and what is up with the dyed hair and showing so much skin at this age! Bad influence! Digusting!
