    Editorial Reviews

Richard Linklater's third feature -- set, like his other works, over the course of one 24-hour period -- Before Sunrise is a sweet, intelligent romantic comedy filmed primarily in Austria. It stars Ethan Hawke as Jesse, a young American travelling through Europe. On a train he meets Celine, a French student portrayed by Julie Delpy. Together they leave the train to begin exploring the city of Vienna, walking and talking into the wee hours of the night and slowly falling in love as the minutes before Jesse's return to the U.S. tick away. August 19, 2006: This movie wasn't all about the action and what not. It focused on good, well written conversation, which I liked a lot. It isn't every day that you see a movie with so much conversation that isn't boring. One of the best movies out there.

September 05, 2004: I don't quite know where to start. I have seen this movie long time ago and I absoultely loved it. It is so real and intelligent and catches the real spirit of the cultures that it was just a breathtaking experience for me. I am from Europe, and the reason why I am writing this review is the fact that I am in the States right now and have been here for quite a while now. Being here gave the whole new aspect to this movie. I totally understood the Celine's point of view, but now I also understand Jesse's. I was watching this movie with my American friend and seeing how similar we are to the characters in the movie was just amazing. I would recommend this movie to everyone who believes that true love does exist and that it is as simple and beautiful as it is in this movie. Movies like that are a total must see!
