Editorial Reviews

In this first sequel to 1989's Batman, the Caped Crusader (Michael Keaton) is up against the Penguin (Danny DeVito), the hideously deformed scion of a wealthy Gotham City family. The Penguin plots with evil businessman Max Schreck (Christopher Walken) to become mayor and then turn Gotham into a cathedral of crime. Upon overhearing these plans, Schreck's mousy secretary Selena Kyle (Michelle Pfeiffer) is tossed from a high-rise window by her boss. Rescued by a covey of kittens, Selena transforms into the leather-clad Catwoman. In this guise, she teams with the Penguin and Schreck to divvy up their ill-gotten gains and help discredit Batman-but she also has her own scores to settle. Paul "Pee-Wee Herman" Reubens, Vincent Schiavelli and Jan Hooks play significant bits, while Pat Hingle and Michael Gough make returns as, respectively, Commissioner Gordon and Alfred the Butler. July 18, 2005: Tim Burton beat the sophomore jinx with this brilliant 1992 sequel to his 1989 masterpiece "Batman". Michael Keaton returns to play the titular title character in "Batman Returns", and this time he's up against two new villians: the grotesque Penguin (a perfectly cast Danny DeVito) and the sexy Catwoman (Mihcelle Pfeiffer), as well as corrupt businessman Max Shreck (Christopher Walken). Like the last one, everything is perfect. The plot is also much more disturbing and can be enjoyed by more people. Every castmember put in excellent performances, but Michelle Pfeiffer really stole the show. This film and the first one are highly recommened. Also, go see "Batman Begins".

June 24, 2005: Tim Burtons second film of Batman is just as good as the first one he made! First it was the great performance of Jack Nicholson and Micheal Keaton, then it was Danni Davito and Micheal Keaton again! Pick up this movie, you will like it, honest!
