November 26, 2009: In the movie The Three Musketeers, Barbie isn't your typical high-heeled, high fashion, pink convertible driving Mattel doll. This animated adventure based on the 17th century novel by Alexandre Dumas packs plenty of girl power! Barbie brandishes a sword, fights bad guys and even saves the prince. All her life, Barbie (called Corinne in the movie) dreams of joining the royal guard, the Musketeers, just like her famous father, d'Artagnan. When she turns 17 years old, she leaves home to pursue her dream in Paris, France where her deceased dad trained. But her dreams are soon shattered! First, Corinne learns that one can't just volunteer to be a musketeer - one had to be appointed by a member of royalty. Then her father's former swashbuckling companions tell her that traditionally all of the musketeers had been strong, brave - and men. Talk about your glass ceiling!

"All for one and One for all!"

But Corinne doesn't give up easily. When the musketeers refuse to train her, Corinne finds work as a maid in the prince's castle. There she meets three other maids who also secretly desire to be musketeers. The girls train in secret with an old woman in the castle who hobbles around on a cane but is a surprisingly skilled fighter (think Yoda in Star Wars). While Corinne and her friends are working to prove they are worthy to be musketeers, mysterious accidents keep happening around Prince Louis. Corinne tries to convince the prince that the men sworn to protect him are secretly plotting to kill him so that his evil, backstabbing cousin Phillipe can claim his place on the throne.

"Don't mess with the dress!"

The soundtrack features popular music that really rocks. And there are still plenty of "girly" moments for Barbie fans. Corinne does back flips with finesse as she wields her sword and her friends look absolutely stunning as they thwart villains with cool moves of their own. Who knew ribbons and decorative fans could be so lethal?

September 19, 2009: One of the coolest girl-power shows recently released.Barbie and the Three Musketeers is for girls of all ages to watch,enjoy and realize that no dream is impossible.As Corrine in the movie said "True courage is believing in your dream even when everyone says it's impossible".
