In Avatar: The Last Airbender's mythical setting, the world is separated into four nations: the Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. Within each of these nations are men, women, and children who have special powers, allowing them to "bend" or manipulate the elements.
