Editorial Reviews

It's always tough to move to a brand new school, especially when the year is already half over. This is exactly the spot Chrissa is in after finding herself the newest kid in the fourth grade and a prime target for the popular girls known as the "Mean Bees." When the biggest, meanest bully of the bunch becomes Chrissa's biggest competition on the swim team, Chrissa must find a way to stand her ground and end the bullying. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide All Movie Guide

June 14, 2009: I am an elementary school counselor and I showed this movie to ALL of the second grade girls at my school due to some recent "girl drama" we were having. I showed it in three thirty-minutes segments during lunch time and on the fourth day we had a discussion about the movie. The girls really enjoyed it and we had some great dialogue when I paused the the movie at certain points. Next year I plan to show it to the 4th and 5th grade girls as well at the beginning of the school year.

April 13, 2009: We live in Iowa and are getting ready to move, which means a new school for my daughter. This story really hit home for her, but its positive message helped her realize that even if its tough at first, she can make really great new friends whereever she is.
