The enduring BBC favorite All Creatures Great and Small wraps up with this seventh and final series, a 13-episode run, originally telecast in the autumn of 1990. Based on the semi-autobiographical stories of veterinarian James Alfred Wright -- who wrote under the name "James Herriot" -- this light drama revolves around Herriot (Christopher Timothy), his wife, Helen (Lynda Bellingham), and his volatile but warmhearted partner, Siegfried Farnon (Robert Hardy). Life at their small veterinary practice in rural Yorkshire continues to challenge the partners, whether in the form of neglected animals or tightfisted farmers. But through all the trials and tribulations, the social upheavals and the years gone by, friendship and family prove as strong as ever. From the Studio

October 11, 2007: We have loved this whole series, it has been a comforting, gentle, humorous, enjoyable show from beginning to end. Even our children, our teens, have enjoyed the show. WHen the kids were younger, they'd hear the music playing and come running to watch it.
