January 25, 2007: I was exceedingly happy to find that this movie does justice to the book of the same name - Woman of Substance, which happens to be one of my top five all-time favorite books. It is by far, in my opinion, the best book ever written by Barbara Taylor Bradford. The lead role played by Jennifer Seagrove brought the book alive, and was my first introduction to Liam Neeson as well, who was also fantastic. I have watched this movie over and over in the past years and never tire of it. I think it is probably helpful to read the book first, and if you love it, you'll be thoroughly happy with the movie as well.

September 04, 2001: I was so impressed with this movie and the actress Jenny Seagrove. Her shear hatred drove her to work so hard. Completely convincing. I could relate to her situation.
