Editorial Reviews

A young man is looking for the woman he loves, though he wouldn't know her if he saw her in this teen-oriented comedy. Matthew (Jonathan Tucker) is a college freshman who has not been having much luck with the ladies since he started school. One night, Matthew is taking an elevator downstairs at his dorm when someone dashes in just as the door is closing. Moments later, there's a power outage, and Matthew and his fellow passenger are stuck. He soon discovers that he's stranded on the elevator with a woman, and they strike up a conversation; one thing leads to another, and they end up making love. However, Matthew never gets her name or a good look at her face in the darkness, and the next morning, he awakes to discover the power is back on, and the young woman is gone. Matthew is desperate to find her, certain that she is the love of his life, but all he knows for sure is that she lives in a nearby all-girls dorm -- and that she left behind a pair of panties. Posing as a maintenance man, Matthew sets out to visit every girl in the dorm, hoping to find the girl who matches up to the lingerie. Among the many women Matthew runs across in search of his dream girl in 100 Girls are Larisa Oleynik, Jaime Pressly, Katherine Heigl, Marissa Ribisi, and Emmanuelle Chriqui. a notably hypocritical feminist fableby Anonymous

May 26, 2009: Let me explain. What's-his-face gets stuck in an elevator, and ends up having sex with the chick stuck there with him. He falls 'in love' with this mystery woman, and spends the rest of the movie trying to find out who she is. And in the process of creeping around the girl's dorm and taking a women's studies class and dressing up as a girl he takes a walk in thier shoes and reaches enlightenment.

Any other stuff? Oh wait. There's one single male character: the roomate. His one-dimensional implausible character serves as an excuse to ignore any of the guy problems. Oh, and he gives the writers of the movie their lame cover to be indifferent and stereotical about how the portray guys. So while our protagonist-turned-feminist is bemooaning the way guys treat women as objects, he's scoring points for having a big dick while his one-dimensional perve roomate lifts penis weights and fabricates a tale about sex he never had in order to impress the main character (In an impossibly angst free way. Guys don't have feelings though, right?) But you are never incouraged to care about about the perv roomate; you are simply encouraged by the film to laugh at his attempts and his posturing. 'Ha ha, he'll end up with permenant tissue damage and never get laid anyways. Ha ha ha, what a stupid moron, aren't guys such morons?'

Aren't the writers of this movie such hypocrits?

August 05, 2004: Definitely something guys can watch and learn a little about this guy's experiences. We've all had that crush at one time and were willing to do whatever it took to get that person. I enjoyed it. And learned a little more about women and their crazy ways.
